Tata Sierra 2025 Gets Multiple Seating Configurations

Tata Sierra 2025 Gets Multiple Seating Configurations: The Tata Sierra is all set to make a comeback in an all-new avatar, and this time it’s going to be bigger, bolder, and smarter than ever. Tata Motors will offer the new Sierra in both ICE (petrol and diesel) and EV (electric) versions, making it one of the most versatile SUVs in its class.

The launch is just around the corner, and there’s already a lot of buzz about its segment-first features — especially the multiple seating layouts and high-end comfort options.

All-New Tata Sierra: Making a Grand Comeback with ICE and EV Versions

Two Seating Layouts: Standard and Lounge-Style

Tata Motors is reportedly giving the new Sierra two different seating options.

  1. Standard 5-Seater Layout – This will be the regular configuration, with two seats in the front and three in the rear, suitable for families and everyday use.
  2. Premium Lounge Layout – A special version designed for maximum comfort, featuring two seats in both rows — just like a luxury lounge on wheels.

The lounge version will focus on rear-seat comfort, perfect for those who prefer being driven around rather than driving themselves.

Tata Sierra 2025 Luxury Features for Rear-Seat Comfort

The premium seating layout is expected to include wider seats that recline and slide, along with extendable leg support — a feature rarely seen in this segment.

To make the experience even more luxurious, Tata might also offer:

  • Fold-out tray tables
  • Individual armrests
  • Dedicated entertainment screens for rear passengers

With these additions, the Sierra could redefine comfort in its category — going beyond what even Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai currently offer in chauffeur-driven comfort.

Tech-Packed Cabin with Three Screens

Inside, the new Tata Sierra promises to be loaded with technology. The top-end variant will reportedly feature three digital screens on the dashboard — something none of its competitors have yet introduced.

These include:

  • A digital instrument cluster for the driver
  • A central infotainment touchscreen
  • A third passenger-side touchscreen, allowing the co-driver to control music, navigation, videos, and even play games

This setup will give the cabin a truly modern and premium feel, making it one of the most tech-rich SUVs in its class.

Engine and Powertrain Options

At launch, Tata Motors is expected to offer the new Sierra with three engine options:

  • 1.5L Naturally Aspirated Petrol
  • 1.5L Turbocharged Petrol
  • 1.5L Turbocharged Diesel

There will also be automatic transmission options, giving buyers more flexibility based on their driving style and needs.

The ICE version is likely to debut first, followed by the electric Sierra.ev about a month later.

Sierra.ev: The Electric Revolution

The upcoming Sierra.ev will be a game-changer for Tata Motors. It’s expected to be available in single-motor FWD and dual-motor AWD versions — the latter being a segment-first feature among electric SUVs in India.

Another exciting feature will be Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) bi-directional charging, which lets users power devices and equipment directly from the car’s battery. This is especially useful for camping trips, power cuts, or outdoor work setups.
